Help Plan for the Next Generation

The Summit School’s Capital Campaign for Kids began in 2007 with a five-year goal to raise
$5 million for renovations in both the Upper and Lower Schools, and to fund a pension plan
for our devoted staff.

We have used campaign funds to renovate Lower School classrooms. At the Upper School,
we added a 5,000 square foot addition to provide more classrooms and multipurpose space, renovated classrooms, hallways, and bathrooms, and built a new state-of-the-art fitness center. We have also upgraded computer technology in both the Upper and Lower Schools
to put more laptops into the hands of our students as well as integrated SMART Boards
in all classrooms.

As we enter the final phase of the campaign, we plan to raise $3 million that will fund
the pension plan and will involve solicitations to Summit families, foundations, corporations, alumni, and friends of the school. Having the ability to attract, develop, and retain the exceptional talent that is needed in the field of special education is even more important
today as we continue to provide the educational and developmental experience that is
unique to The Summit School.

The Summit School is extremely grateful to all of our parents and friends who have
so generously provided support for our school, our teachers, our therapists, and all
of our students.
